South Australia

Wines are produced in several regions throughout the state, though many are naturally grouped together, like Barossa and Eden Valleys, only 15 minutes apart. They include such regions as Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Eden Valley, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Kangaroo Island, Langhorne Creek, The Limestone Coast, McLaren Vale and Wrattonbully to name but a few!

About the brand Commissioners Block
Eager to expand his flourishing business E.J. Roberts sought to purchase a block of scrub land which lay adjacent to the railway line connecting Merbein with the main Mildura to Melbourne line. The block earned its name when, in 1913, it was purchased from the state rail authorities with the help the Railway Chairman of Commissioners. The old Roberts Estate wine cellar at Merbein is built on the Commissioners Block.
