This month, we'll give you the full rundown on tannin; What it is, how it gets into wine, and its purpose as a flavour and structural component as well as something that helps a wine age. We'll be tasting white wines with and without tannins to get into the feel of things, then we'll look at the difference between wood tannins and grape tannins, then onto how to detect the shape of tannins, and what this means, and finally we will look at how tannins age, and their impact on maturation. Included in your ticket will be lots of new wines to try and discuss in a small group setting, some nibbles, and a $25 voucher to go towards any orders of 6+ bottles on the night!
