About the venue Ventuno Restaurant
An Italian Pizzeria, Birreria, and Enoteca cherished by both Walsh Bay locals and Sydney residents alike. Nestled in Sydney's historic old town quarter, just a stone's throw away from iconic landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House, Ventuno resides within the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. This vibrant precinct is not only home to Ventuno but also hosts renowned institutions like the Sydney Theatre Company and Sydney Dance Company.
The Walsh Bay Wharves, dating back to the 1920s, stand as a testament to Sydney's extensive harbor-side redevelopment. Once considered the 'jewel in the crown' of this transformation, these wharves were revolutionary structures in their time. They played a pivotal role in facilitating international shipping and witnessed the arrival of numerous immigrants from Italy and around the world.
Ventuno proudly operates under the Sydney Restaurant Group, a family business founded by Bill Drakopoulos. The next generation, comprising Anastasia, Nicola, Daniel, and Perry, now directs the business, upholding the family's vision of offering inviting and reasonably priced dining experiences in picturesque locations.
