
Red Wine, Gevrey-Chambertin
Gevrey Chambertin is a French Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) but also a village in Burgundy's famous Cote de Nuits region which produces some of the world's most prestigious Pinot Noir wines. Gevrey Chambertin village was originally called just Gevrey, but in 1847 the parish council added the name of the most prestigious local vineyard, Le Chambertin.
