Pedestal Margaret River Cabernet 2018
Larry Cherubino Wines

The first wine was released in 2005 and the range now includes 3 tiers. At the top is Cherubino (Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon) and next tier is The Yard, which includes five single-vineyard wines from Western Australia and at the lower end is the Ad Hoc label, which are single region wines. Rated highly among wine critics and punters alike, currently holding a 5 red star winery rating from James Halliday, it's impossible not to see the value in his wines which are of the highest quality, and marked at very reasonable prices.

With the 96 point rating by James Halliday, the Pedestal Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 was recognised in the Wine Companion's "Top 100 wines of 2020". Larry Cherubino.
Larry Cherubino is no stranger to critical acclaim having been named "Best Value Winery" in Halliday's 2017 Wine Companion, and was named Winemaker of the Year back in 2011.
Despite those famous years for Cherubino he commented that he believes the 2018 vintage is the best he has ever seen in the Margaret River. Halliday stated this wine is "Exceptional value" which we think showcases just how strong this vintage, and how good this wine, really is.

James Halliday's Wine Companion
From vineyards in Wilyabrup, matured in French oak for 12 months. It ticks all the boxes with its cassis fruit on the one hand, firm cabernet tannins on the other providing all-up balance. Exceptional value for a wine with an extended drinking window of opportunity.

Leafy cassis and blackcurrant hold hands with ripe raspberry and crushed black pepper. There is hints of liquorice and anise in there, too. At the price this is a ridiculously well structured, classically styled cabernet – I’m not sure what more you could possibly want. Supple. Succulent
