This pack includes a 7th wine to be tasted at the end of the second week in a smaller group setting within the zoom breakout room for a chance to taste a 99 point Pinot Noir with winemaker Nick Mills of Rippon.

In hopeful preparation for a real trip to New Zealand, we're going to take you on a virtual tour of the famous Central Otago! Across our two sessions, we'll travel through the six sub-regions of Central Otago to showcase what the region has to offer. From brands you'll recognise to lesser-known hidden gems, we'll be trying some delicious Pinot Noirs and learning from the experts about this unique region.

We're going to have some very special guests for this tasting event including Sam Neill of Two Paddocks, New Zealand Winemaker of the Year 2020, Jen Parr of Valli Wines along with Paul Pujol of Prophet's Rock joining us plus more to be announced to give you some insights from the winemakers themselves on this unique region and the special wines it has to offer.

This pack contains 6 different bottles of wine to be opened during online tastings held on Thursday the 28th of January and 4th of February 2021 at 6.30pm AEDT each night.
This tasting will be done completely online, questions are definitely encouraged, to be read out and answered by the experts. You can use your phone, computer, tablet or laptop, you do not need a camera or microphone to take part though we recommend these so you're able to interact with our experts and hosts.

These packs will start shipping in early January 2021.

RIPPON 'RIPPON' MATURE VINE PINOT NOIR 2017 - "This is such profoundly complex pinot with violets, dark cherries, plums, blueberries, graphite, black tea, peppery nuances, licorice and woody spices, all taking a role on the nose. The palate has such density and precision, delivering a powerfully composed and profoundly concentrated core of blueberry and dark-cherry flavor in a layered and refined style. Such impressive depth and character. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold."

PROPHET'S ROCK HOME PINOT NOIR 2017 - "Deep red colour with a good tint of purple and a reserved, slightly shy bouquet, which reveals some oak and earthy, dried herb and other savoury aspects. Dark cherry and liqueur-cherry grew the longer it was in the glass. The palate is likewise, big and bold and loaded with tannin and grip, dense, concentrated flavour, with a solid tannin finish which leaves a chewy after-impression. Very good, a wine that will reward cellaring and drink best with protein-rich foods. It has a lot of grip and body and potential."
