2017 was a great vintage in Tumbarumba without any weather extremes compared to 2016 which was a hot year with heatwaves and a richer than usual wine style. 2017 is in the classic Tumbarumba style of white peach/nectarine fruit, grapefruit natural acidity giving great line and length and creamy cashew nut oak, since bottling in early 2018 it has continued to build intensity and richness and will really start singing in the next 12-18 months. Hailing from the high-altitude region of Tumbarumba, this is a full bodied white wine from a very challenging vintage throughout Australia, exemplifying why Tumbarumba has become known as a premium Chardonnay producing region. Bright straw yellow with a youthful green tinge. Lifted aroma of cashew and creamy lanolin with complex battonage notes. A very spicy and full palate with a tight and balanced acid structure supported by seasoned French oak. This Chardonnay was barrel fermented by natural ‘wild’ yeast in new and seasoned French Oak barriques. 100% preservative free and zero additions, making this wine a 'Natural' style of wine. Drink now or age for up to 8 years.

(2016 vintage) A steady hand of both flavour and funk makes for attractive drinking. This mines a healthy zone. White peach, slate, cedar wood and fennel notes. Juicy finish. Nicely done.
