The vineyard follows principals of low intervention to express the outstanding Villányi terroir. Founded in 1998 by Horst Hummel who's great grandfather had been winegrower in Vojvodina until 1945. His style is a refreshing change compared to the heavy and rustic wines that are common in Villány. His wines are balanced, full of vibrance and energy, very drinkable yet complex and structured. Portugieser is a very old variety that probably originated in the Danube Valley (not Portugal). The "Jammerthal" was hand harvested, unfined and aged for 18 months on French oak.
