One of the most exciting new wines from this rapidly modernising region. Made by Philippe Cambie, former winemaker at Chateau Rayas. Cambie has received 100 point scores fifteen times and was also awarded global winemaker of the year in 2010 by critic Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A brooding nose of garrigue herbs and dusty, chalky earth. The palate has a great mix of plush primary fruits and earthy spices. Excellent balanced alcohol and chewy tannins round out the finish.

When a man who has fifteen 100 point wines to his name makes a wine, you pay close attention, no matter the price. Philippe Cambie's 2017 'Heredita' is absolutely outstanding. Old vine Grenache located right on the edge of the Chateauneuf du Pape border provides the complex fruit, while Syrah provides structure and a lick of Mourvedre gives earthy spice flavours. Traditional earthy, herbal tones are matched by modern cleanliness and polish. This is one for tonight, or for the cellar- you won't be disappointed either way.
