    The Glaetzer family is about as close to Barossa Valley winemaking nobility as you can get – in fact, both Colin Glaetze… r and his son Ben are Barons of the Barossa. Generation after generation of Glaetzers have coaxed wine from the land since their arrival from Germany in 1888. Settling in Nuriootpa, records show the Glaetzer family were among the first viticulturalists in the Barossa and Clare Valleys, beginning a long tradition of winemaking that runs strongly through the family.
