The focus at Framingham is on making the wine that they love, and this approach has won the winery a reputation for innovative wines with excellent balance, texture and complexity.
Framingham is home to some of the oldest Riesling vines in Marlborough, planted in 1981 after being grafted to phylloxera-resistant rootstock. A passion for aromatic whites has seen the portfolio grow to include Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier and Gewürztraminer, rounded out with Pinot Noir and Montepulciano.
Audited and accredited in 2009 as 100 per cent sustainable by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand, Framingham’s winemaker Dr Andrew Hedley is constantly looking to push boundaries with wild fermentation, new varieties and techniques. The F-Series range incorporates the best of what the winemaking team learns, staying true to Framingham’s style while allowing for creative expression and resulting in outstanding wines.
