White Blends

Usually Sauvignon Blanc-dominant, with around 5% each of Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris. The wine is fermented and aged in barrel, on its lees for a year. 50% of barrels are new in both stages.

Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey a Premier Cru Classe wine estate located in the Sauternes appellation, south Bordeaux. It dates back to the 13th Century and became a wine estate in 1618.

Eagle Vale Estate is a producer in the Margaret River creating fruit forward, well balanced white blends.

It is Te Aro Wine, Wellington's first and only dedicated urban winery (both Garage Project and Husk also have awesome wine programs but we are the only one just making wine and nothing else). Their motto is "we make fun wine not fine wine" so the wines are emphatically off-center, wild and funky. That said, they are not "natural" as the fruit is not sourced from organic vineyards yet.

Blanc is the result of years of research and quarantine of the best white varieties we can find amongst the ancient north-west Mediterranean vine types. The fact that these Châteauneuf varieties have been successfully blended for so many years encouraged us to pursue this direction.
