    Chateau Clerc-Milon 2018
Like Armailhac, this Pauillac is made by the Mouton Rothschild team. Always a serious wine, it has been much improved in recent vintages. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenere in 2018. This wine is resolved, yet fresh and ready. Soft for a Latour, it shows earth, tobacco leaf, liquid pencil, red fruit and a certain youthful creaminess from less acidity than usual. This 03 has that glossy, slinky, liquid mercury behavior in the glass. Reads much thicker than it tastes. This is a beauty that is ready to go! Drink or hold. "Nose mainly toasty oak but quite complex, with brooding dark fruit evident underneath." - Decanter
