The now closed winery was established as a family owned operation, with striking labels telling the individual story of each wine. Setanta is named after Ireland's most famous hero, a nod to Sheilagh Sullivans heritage.

Songlines fruit comes from the 40 to 110 year old, flawless Shiraz vineyards in the McLaren Vale, one of the oldest and best established of the wine growing regions of South Australia. These vines have in the past provided grapes for some of Australia's most famous wines, including Penfolds Grange. However, the uncompromising selection of individual vineyards means this is the first time their grapes have been assembled as a single wine.

A dark centre with vibrant purple hues. Bouquet: Blueberry and violet notes highlight the concentrated blackberry, cassis and dark chocolate nose. The promise of the nose explodes on the palate with ripe, dark berries within a framework of textured tannins. A full bodied, structured Cabernet Sauvignon that expresses the synergy of this noble variety, and the traditional winemaking.

Light straw colour with a golden tint. Notes of flint, lemon verbena, wax, white flower and green melon. Lovely clarity and zing through the palate. Lemongrass with hints of mint and green melon. Light notes of dough and toast emerge through the waxy mid-palate. Acidity provides laser-like focus. Finish has mouth-watering minerality with the oak providing a light textural component to offset the acidity.

Ashton Hills Estate produces internationally renowned wines by winemaker Stephen George from the Adelaide hills.

Sourced from a vineyard in Echunga, 410m above sea level and just down the road from the first vineyard planted in South Australia. Stephen has worked with this vineyard since 2010, and in 2014 won the Jimmy Watson trophy for the ‘13 vintage. The fruit is grown on well-drained, granitic soil, Stephen’s preference for Syrah. A Syrah instead of the traditional Shiraz, to prevent confusion and pay homage to the cool-climate style made in the northern Rhône...

M3 is at the forefront of the ongoing refinement and evolution of Australian Chardonnay. We aim for elegance, restraint, and the capacity to age in bottle. Aromas of white flowers, grapefruit, and white peach. A note of brioche adds complexity. These notes carry through to the palate, which is long and flavoursome, with mid-palate texture and bright acid.

At various competitions this wine has been awarded a couple of awards: the International Wine Challenge awarded the 2012 vintage Silver and the 2014 vintage Bronze.
