Fronsac is an appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) on the right bank of the Gironde estuary in Bordeaux, France. The AO… C produces exclusively red wines, which are based mainly on Merlot. Other major grape varieties grown include Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wines of Fronsac are deep ruby in colour.
