Brothers David and Nicolas Rossignol run this 100% Organic and Biodynamically farmed Domaine located in the very heart of Gevrey Chambertin. Very early to the Sustainable farming movement, all the family's vineyards, located in some of the most impressive vineyards in Burgundy, were converted to Certified Organic in 2004. The 2018 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a more feminine and elegant bouquet than the Latricières, offering pure red berry fruit, pressed rose petals and light sous-bois notes, all very precise. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a superb line of acidity, good cohesion and more precision than the Latricières toward the wonderfully persistent finish. - Vinous

Cask sample. Savoury and sweet, dark cherry with a lovely sweetness of fruit. Leather and spice and such power that is carried really effortlessly. A very very long finish – spice laden with dark fruit – incredibly long.

A beguiling nose is composed by liqueur-like aromas of various red berries that display top notes of lavender and spice. The medium weight plus flavors possess a mid-palate that combines power with refinement that contrasts with a wonderfully long and very firm if slightly raspy and youthfully austere finish. This graceful effort also will need a few years to unwind and better harmonize but like the Latricières, it seems quite promising.
