    Domain Assadet

    Alain and Véronique Assadet are third generation winemakers in Menetou-Salon. The Domaine was started by Alain’s grandfather with only four hectares, but the Assadets have since expanded the holdings to 8ha, three-quarters of which are dedicated to Sauvignon Blanc and one quarter to Pinot Noir. The appellation's close proximity to Sancerre places it on some of the Loire’s most coveted terroirs along the prized limestone Kimmeridgian chain, yet its small production offers greater values than those of Sancerre.
