Their website rightly points out these wines are "Hard to pronounce but worth asking for." De Iuliss is one of the Hunter Valleys best wineries, headed by the De Iuliis family who make wines that are unique yet speak of the great Hunter Valley region they come from. They produce a series of small-run wines from new and historic vineyards throughout the Hunter Valley.
Most famous of their vineyards is the Steven vineyard, on Gillards Road, acquired in 2013. It's one of the Hunter Valleys most iconic sites, the same vineyard that Lindemans produced some extraordinary red wines from through the 1960s to the 1980s.
5 star rated since 2010, De Iuliss is in safe hands with 2015 Winemaker of the Year Michael De Iuliis at the helm (2015 Hunter Valley Legends Awards).

Perfectly poised and focused, a wine that's in no hurry, sure of its 20+-year future, offering different focus as it ages. Its constant characteristic will be its length, built on citrus/herb and crisp, unwavering tannins. As the years pass, buttered toast, honey and nuts will build.
