While starting out in his family business as a negociant, a small abandoned plot in the Collio Goriziano gave Damijan all the impetus to ignore the common attitude that it was too difficult to work and eagerly bought it - an attitude that has definitely carried over in his winemaking. Not only does he now cultivate top-quality grapes, but his once skeptical neighbors eye his steep mountain top vineyard with great envy.
