Chateau Pesquie

Chateau Pesquie

In the early 1970’s, Odette & René Bastide bought Château Pesquié from an heir of the famous French writer, Alphonse Daudet. Located in Mormoiron, a small village in the Ventoux region, the estate is now run by Alexandre and Frédéric, Odette & René’s sons. They produce 3 ranges of wines: Quintessence, Terrasses and Artemia.

“Easily one of my favorite estates from the up-and-coming Ventoux region, Chateau Pesquie is run by the talented brothers, Alexandre & Frederic Chaudiere. The wines sell for a song, yet always deliver high-quality, loads of character and impeccably made profiles.”– Jeb Dunnuck

In the Provençal language, the word “pesquié” originally describes a fishpond and applies to the lexical field surrounding springs and water. These 2 elements are vital commodities in the dry Provençal climate.
