Established in Aÿ, one of Champagne’s historic and most renowned terroirs, the Deutz Estate was built upon the hard work of successive generations since it was founded in 1838. Beginning as a collaboration between William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, these two wine merchants from Aix-la-Chapelle combined their technical expertise and industry knowledge and secured some premium quality plots from which to produce their wines. By the beginning of the 20th century, Champagne Deutz had cemented itself within the fabric of the Champagne’s appellation with its unique character and sleek elegance. In addition to their plots in Aÿ, the estate has also secured vines within the famous Côte des Blancs region to produce their vintages. Today, under the leadership of Fabrice Rosset, Deutz demonstrates the same rectitude in its quest for continued excellence.
