Located at Matawhero, Bridge Estate is one of the few single site Bordeaux vineyards in New Zealand. The vines are one among the oldest of the country are were planted in 1985 by the famous Matawhero winemaker, Denis Irwin, from the four traditional Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec.
