Benevelli Piero
In 1978, Piero Benevelli embarked on his journey in winemaking with five hectares of vines in Monforte d’Alba and desire to focus on Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, and Barbera, the traditional grapes of Piedmont. With his son Massimo soon joining him in the vineyard and winery, the Benevelli’s instinctually knew that excellent wine can only be made with excellent grapes.
Massimo Benevelli has matured into a skilled Pietmontese grower and winemaker, steering the process from vineyard to bottle. His Baroli are approachable young but reveal their true potential after at least five years or more in bottle. His Dolcetto and Langhe Nebbiolo are true Piemontese delights as well – classic and full of pleasure.
