Anigua Bodega
Mr. Luis Victor Chirino has been a Pioneer builder in San Juan Province and has always been passionate about the viticulture tradition of the region. In 1990 he invests in land appropriate for the growth and cultivation of various grape varieties and in two wineries where, using avant-gard technologies, his wines and sparkling wines are made nowadays.
Don Luis’s interest in the wine industry was born in the 80’s when, even before exploring into winemaking he bought the historic building known as Antigua Bodega. The complex was re-opened in 1994 after extensive refurbishing work.
This refurbishing work was mainly led by his wife, Azucena “Chiqui” Juarez de Chirino who invited well-known local artists in order to define the Art Deco style which reigns at present in the Bodega’s rooms.
Time and evolution brought his sons Luis Victor and Luis Alberto aboard the Project. They currently cooperate in the development of new products, institutional relations, logistics and local and International distribution. The enterprise’s managing is carried out by all the family members together, who are constantly spreading their passion for the land and its many virtues. The family hopes therefore that people who sample their products and/or visit this marvellous complex be seduced by its beauty and, their emotions awakened by this unique and unforgettable experience.
