    Corton-Charlemagne is a Grand Cru appellation of the Côte de Beaune region in Burgundy, France. The appellation primarily… faces southwest and sits at the highest part of the Hill of Corton, where gradients are quite steep. The Emperor Charlemagne gifted these vineyards to the Saint-Andoche de Saulieu religious community in 775. Corton-Charlemagne produces opulent Chardonnay.
