    Fleurie is one of 10 individual crus (‘growths’) with its own Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) in the northern … part of Beaujolais, France. The appellation is for red wines – from Gamay grapes – only. Soils here are generally sandy pink granite, which helps produce deeply coloured grapes and lighter, more aromatic wines – hallmarks of the appellation. Fleurie wines are typically a beautiful crimson red. On the nose, you’ll find fragrant floral notes (think violet, rose, iris),
