    Henty

    The Henty wine region was previously (if only unofficially) known as either 'Drumborg' or 'Far South-west Victoria' before… being named after Edward Henty, the first permanent settler in Victoria. It's located some 300km west of Melbourne and 500km south east of Adelaide. The first to see the potential in the region for wine was Karl Seppelt, who identified Keppoch (now called Padthaway) and Drumborg to be cool-climate sites with significant potential.
