The Gussalli Beretta family shares a 500 year history as part of the 43 generation Beretta firearm producing dynasty, and it shares the same values of detail and quality in the making of wine. It is the Gussalli side of the family where wine interests began, with the production of spumante wine in 1963 in Franciacorta. However it was just over a decade ago that Gussali Beretta ramped up and extended their investment in wine. Over the period of 2004 to 2013, the family has invested heavily in the home estate of ‘Lo Sparvire there. Then the family purchased ‘Castello di Radda’ and its 45 ha of vineyards in Chianti, along with ‘Orlandi Contucci Pono’ in Abruzzo, also with round 40 ha of vineyards. Three years ago, the family purchased ‘Fortemasso’ and 35 ha of vineyards in Barolo.
