    Good things come in small packages and that applies to wineries too. Adelina, a small-batch producer from Springfarm, a sub-region of Clare, fits the bill perfectly. It’s owned and run by winemakers and science boffins, Jen Gardner and Col McBryde, of Some Young Punks fame, who have combined their love of Italian wine varietals with the intricacies of science to create a small and impressive portfolio of wines. Established Shiraz, Grenache and Pedro Ximenez vines grow alongside younger plantings of Shiraz and Mataro, with biodynamic principles applied to all estate grown fruit. Jen and Col also bring in fruit from a select group of Clare and Adelaide Hills growers for their non-estate range which includes an Arneis, Riesling, Nebbiolo and Shiraz Mataro.
